Rachel joined NIRAS-LTS as an Analyst in 2021 and currently supports the Darwin Initiative and Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund. Within this role, Rachel is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to current and new projects across all funds. She also provides support on delivery of informative workshops for applicants and is involved in producing content for the funds social media and communication channels.

Rachel has an M. Litt in International Security Studies from the University of St Andrews and has varied experience working as a Data Analyst in the legal sector prior to joining NIRAS-LTS.

While completing her Master’s degree, Rachel was heavily involved in a variety of workshops responding to the role of women, textiles and conflict and has a strong interest on gender issues. With a background in International Security, she is passionate about human security and everyday livelihoods and the interplay between conflict-affected contexts and environmental threats.
