Yujie joined NIRAS-LTS as an analyst in 2021. She supports market teams across the company with technical consultancy, project management, and business development in monitoring, evaluation and learning, climate change, and natural resource management. Some of the current projects she works on include China-UK Collaboration on International Forest Investment & Trade (InFIT) and Climate Public Private Partnership Programme (CP3).
Trained in political economy and sociology, Yujie has a background in social and policy research with skills in both qualitative and quantitative methods. Prior to joining NIRAS-LTS, she worked on research assignments for the UN, The Asia Foundation, USAID, think tanks, government agencies, and corporations in Australia, the US, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. She was the project manager of a start-up social enterprise in China for two years, during which she developed sustainable livelihood solutions for ethnic minority communities in China’s national parks and nature reserves. She brings the perspective of long-term engagement with civil society organisations and disadvantaged communities in the developing world and continues to advocate for their voices at an international stage.
